Terms of Service

Welcome to Tenably. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Tenably iOS application. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Tenably
Tenably is a roommate management platform connecting renters and landlord-admins within a shared house. Features include chore tracking, dispute filing, XP leaderboard, peer reviews, a roommate Finder, push notifications, and a laundry queue.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use Tenably. By creating an account, you represent that you are 17 or older.
3. Accounts and Registration
You may sign up with an email address and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Contact us at feedback@tenably.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. User Roles
- Renter (Roommate): Participates in chores, disputes, reviews, and the leaderboard.
- Admin (Landlord / Property Manager): Manages a house, assigns chores, and oversees house settings and members.
A single account may hold both roles.
5. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Post abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or discriminatory content.
- Upload photos or content you do not have the right to share.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Use the App for fraud or illegal activity.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App or its systems.
- Manipulate the XP, leaderboard, dispute, or review systems in bad faith.
6. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of content you submit. By submitting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, and transmit that content solely to operate the App.
7. Chore Tracking and Photo Evidence
By submitting a chore photo, you confirm it accurately represents the chore completion. Submitting false evidence violates these Terms.
8. Dispute System
Use the dispute system honestly and in good faith. Filing frivolous or bad-faith disputes is prohibited.
9. Peer Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experience. Do not write reviews to harass or defame another user.
10. Roommate Finder
Do not contact other users for purposes unrelated to legitimate roommate searches, and do not harass or spam users found through the Finder.
11. In-App Purchases (Future)
Tenably plans to offer a Pro tier via Apple's App Store and RevenueCat in a future update. These Terms will be updated when that feature launches.
12. Intellectual Property
The Tenably name, logo, app design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or proprietary materials.
13. Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
14. Blocking and Reporting
You may block or report other users from within the App. We take reports seriously and reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
15. Termination
By you: Delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you have violated these Terms.
16. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
17. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS OR $100 USD.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules.
19. Apple App Store Terms
Tenably is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
